Where we are
Compassionate Communities NI is a network of cross-sector organisations and individuals across the region of Northern Ireland.
What we do
Our aim is to increase death literacy, death preparedness and co-develop compassionate communities, by:
- Increasing awareness of palliative care and end of life care needs in all levels of society with particular focus on social support
- Improving the visibility of the palliative and end of life communities
- Improving social inclusion of the palliative and end of life communities
- Transferring our palliative care and end of life knowledge to individuals and communities
- Building capacity within communities to be more resilient and better prepared to respond to death, dying, loss and bereavement
