Compassionate Communities (NI) require a
Community Engagement Facilitator
30 hours per week, fixed term contract until 31/3/2025
Salary: Agenda for Change Band 5
(Starting at £25,655 per annum, pro rata, based on a 37.5 hour week)
Do you want to make a difference to people’s lives? Compassionate Communities NI is a community development project of Foyle Hospice, committed to improving end of life and death experiences for everyone. The project is seeking an experienced community development professional to engage key partners and stakeholders, locally and regionally.
The successful candidate will be responsible for tailoring support, delivering training and education to co-develop more resilient communities that are better able to support people impacted by death, dying and bereavement.
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s including English Language and Mathematics at grade C or above or equivalent.
- Degree or professional qualification in Community Development or other related discipline.
- Experience of working on community-based projects.
- A proven track record of delivering training and/or learning workshops/educational activities.
The successful post-holder will enjoy a range of benefits including generous holiday entitlement and a contributory pension scheme. A secondment would be considered.
