Health and Death Literacy
Compassionate Communities
Northern Ireland
At Death Positive Libraries NI, we are dedicated to fostering a culture of openness, understanding, and acceptance around death and dying.
Our initiative aims to create safe spaces within libraries across Northern Ireland where individuals can explore, learn, and discuss topics related to death and end-of-life care without stigma or fear.
About the Initiative
The Death Positive Libraries initiative is a community-centred programme that seeks to normalise conversations about death. By providing resources, hosting events, and facilitating discussions, we aim to empower individuals to approach the topic of death with curiosity, respect, and compassion.
